Saturday Racing at Winchester Postponed for Inclement Weather
Oct 14, 2023
Cole Butcher starts on the pole for the Winchester 400 after qualifying was rained out on Saturday.
With inclement weather preventing qualifying for the ASA STARS National Tour Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway, the field has been set by practice times with a redraw of the eight-fastest competitors.
Following the redraw, Cole Butcher inherited the pole for the race. Butcher already has one ASA STARS National Tour win this season, coming in the Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway. Butcher's Wilson Motorsports teammates, Gio Ruggiero and William Sawalich, start second and third.
The full starting lineup can be viewed below.
With the postponement, racing will begin at 10:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, October 15 to make up the events that were part of Saturday's feature lineup. Those races include the Midwest Modifieds Tour Run for the Gun 50, a 40-lap CRA Late Model Sportsman feature, a 30-lap event for CRA Street Stocks and a 25-lap feature for Winchester Speedway's Crown Stocks.
The pit gates will open at 7:30 a.m. ET and spectator gates will open at 9:00 a.m. for the makeup program. Once complete, the grandstands will be cleared, and the Sunday program will begin as originally planned with all festivities, including the pre-race autograph session.
For those not able to attend, the Saturday makeup program will still be available to Racing America subscribers. The Winchester 400 will be available on Racing America via pay-per-view.
