Starting Lineup: 40th All American 400 at Nashville

Dawson Sutton will lead the ASA STARS National Tour field to the green flag at his home track of Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway to start Sunday's 40th Running of the All American 400.

Sutton, carrying the orange and black colors of the Tennessee Volunteers, clocked in at 18.182 seconds to earn the pole during Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour qualifying on Saturday. It is the fastest time registered in All American 400 qualifying since the race went under the ASA STARS National Tour banner in 2023.

Hailing from nearby Lebanon, Tennessee, Sutton hopes to translate Saturday's pole speed into a prestigious All American 400 victory on Sunday.

"It's nice being home, back in Vols country," said Sutton. "My team brought me a really good race car. P1 in qualifying here, but, you know, 300 laps is a long race tomorrow. Hopefully, we can put everything together. Just maximize every lap and hopefully be there at the end tomorrow."

One year ago, Sutton led 164 of the race's 300 laps before Jake Garcia scored the victory. Sutton hopes to seal the deal this time around.

"That would mean everything, you know. I feel like we were really close last year. Hopefully, we can put the last 10 laps together. That's what matters at the end of the day."

Cole Butcher joins Sutton on the front row. Dylan Fetcho, Stephen Nasse and Carson Brown rounded out the top five in the qualifying session.
