Southern Pro Late Model Track Alliance Announces Rogers-Dabbs Performance Challenge
Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Montgomery Motor Speedway, Mobile International Speedway, and Five Flags Speedway will partner with Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet Performance Parts to establish the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Challenge.
The ever-growing popularity of Pro Late Model racing in the Southeast has prompted several marquee tracks to form an alliance, providing additional monies to top competitors. Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Montgomery Motor Speedway, Mobile International Speedway, and Five Flags Speedway, all with strong Pro Late Model programs, will partner with Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet Performance Parts in Brandon, Mississippi to establish the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Challenge.
Each participating track will designate certain events on their schedule as Challenge events. There will be separate points paid for the Challenge, along with regular track points to be paid as normal. The Driver with the highest points accumulated after the final Challenge event will be awarded a minimum $5,000, with more monies paid down through at least the top 5.
“With the participating tracks all hosting their own Pro Late Model programs, it did not seem the right time to establish a structured Tour,” stated Montgomery Motor Speedway’s Show Me the Money Series promoter Stan Narrison. “However, the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Challenge will encourage Drivers to hit these other tracks and have a good shot at some extra cash and recognition at seasons end.”
“Pro Late Model racing has been the mainstay here at Nashville,” added CRA Series Director and Nashville Fairgrounds administrator Scott Menlen. “And we do believe the unity shown among these regional tracks only strengthens the entire Pro Late Model landscape. We appreciate the involvement from Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts in support of this Challenge.”
While the participating tracks have their respective Pro Late Model schedules posted, the designated Rogers-Dabbs Performance Challenge dates will be announced in the coming days.
