Nashville, TN (Tuesday, January 10, 2023) – Officials from the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and Owosso Speedway have announced the 11th Running of the Masters of the Pros will be held at Owosso Speedway in Owosso, Michigan. The event will be 184 laps, celebrating the 84-year history of the three-eighths mile oval, currently undergoing a series of major facility renovations.

“Rex and the entire Owosso Speedway team has been working hard at putting together an incredible schedule for our inaugural season at Owosso,” said Owosso Speedway General Manager, Jeff Parish. “We're very, very, pleased to be hosting the Masters of the Pro Event in 2023 and look forward into developing it into a highly anticipated show at Owosso. We have incredible developments coming over the next five years with Rex's 22-million-dollar investment in the property. Doing this while keeping the facility open so it never misses a season has challenges, but the end game is clear. An iconic jewel of one of the raciest tracks in the country carrying on into the future with these types of quality events.” Mr. Parish went on to say, “We are investing heavily into the driver and fan experience at Owosso. We are excited for today and blessed to have this in our future."

The Masters of the Pros 184 highlights the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour schedule as one of the highest paying and longest distance Pro Late Model races on tour, and in the country. Along with $10,000, the winner will be awarded a signature green jacket, like the one that is known for adorning the champion of golf’s Master’s event.

The inaugural Masters of the Pros event was held at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Missouri in May of 2013. The event remained there for four more years until it moved to Birch Run Speedway in Michigan in June of 2018. Memphis International Raceway host the race in 2019 before the Masters began a three year run (2020-2022) at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

The wins list for this event is impressive. NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Chase Elliott won the inaugural JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Masters of the Pros at I-44 in 2013. Anderson Bowen won in 2014 before NASCAR Craftsmen Truck Series regular, John Hunter Nemechek scored back-to-back wins in 2015 and ’16. Cole Williams claimed the green jacket at the final Masters at I-44 in 2017. Senoia Georgia’s Bubba Pollard won the Masters of the Pros at Birch Run Speedway in 2018 and again in 2019 at Memphis International. Matt Craig earned a guitar and a green jacket in the Music City in 2020. Willie Allen has laid claim to the two most recent Nashville Masters victories.

Event information will be made available in the coming weeks including tickets, schedule of events, entry blanks, and more. There will be an Open Practice on Friday, August 18th, the day prior to the Masters of the Pros 184.

A 100-lap JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour tune up race for the Masters will be held on Saturday night, June 10th at Owosso Speedway.
