Spokane, WA – Spokane Valley, WA racer Zach Riehl will make the short hop over state lines to participate in the “SLS 125” on May 20th. Round #3 of the Northwest Super Late Model Series season will take place at Findlay Stadium Stateline Speedway (ID) and will pay $3,000 to the winner. Reil will enter next weekend’s event as the Rookie-of-the-Year points leader and second in the championship standings overall.

Zach is the son of Brandon Riehl, a two-time championship runner-up in the NASCAR Elite Division Northwest Tour, who counts six victories in the series in only 43 career starts. Zach is following in his father’s footsteps, churning out strong finishes in the Northwest’s premiere Super Late Model Series. He opened the season with an impressive fourth in the “Apple Cup 125” from Tri-City Raceway at RMEC (WA), earning The TI Company Hard Charger Award. The teenager followed it up with a solid eighth in the “Leonard Evans Memorial 150” at the Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval (WA).

Round #3 finds Riehl at Stateline Speedway, where he made one start in his Pro Late Model in 2022, finishing third. His lone start in the Tri-State Challenge Series found him fourth at WVSO. He finished sixth in his “Montana 200” debut at Mission Valley Super Oval (MT) and earned a fourth-place finish in the 2023 “Chilly Willy 150” for Super Late Models at Tucson Speedway (AZ), showing his ability to finish well at different facilities. He now heads back to Stateline Speedway, where he hopes to continue his solid finishes.

“I’m hoping to score a top-three at Stateline and have a good strong race with all my competitors”, Riehl stated.

Riehl is also thankful for the opportunity to compete at the ¼-mile asphalt oval, and for those who make it possible.

“I'd like to thank Sharp Transportation, Eastside Paving, Ron Eaton, Darrel's Economy Muffler, Northwest Road and Drive, and McClintock & Turk. I’d also like to thank all of my crew; I can't do it without them.”

The “SLS 125” will be Round #3 of the Northwest Super Late Model Series season. It will pay $3,000 to the winner of the 125-lap affair. Friday May 19th will open the weekend with feature events for the Impel Road Runners, Park Model Homes Fever 4, Angel’s Bail Bonds Bandoleros, and the RaceCals Pro Late Models. Saturday will find the Rayce Rudeen Legends, Angel's Bail Bonds Bandoleros, and Johnson Surveying Hobby Stocks in action with the Northwest Super Late Model Series for a full two days of racing action.

For those unable to attend, the “SLS 125” will be streamed LIVE on Racing America, with a subscription to their streaming service.
