Jun 24, 2025
The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour faithful have made all their necessary adjustments to head south to Seekonk Speedway on Wednesday, June 25 for the 50th running of the iconic Spring Green 125.
After making the Saturday trek to a packed house at Autodrome Chaudiere for the Claude Leclerc 150, the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour faithful have made all their necessary adjustments to head south to Seekonk Speedway on Wednesday, June 25 for the 50th running of the iconic Spring Green 125.
The Spring Green holds a special place in the history of the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour, being the first ever event in Tour history on April 22, 1979 at the beloved Catamount Stadium in Milton, Vermont and won by inaugural champion Harmon ‘Beaver’ Dragon. Back for the third season at Seekonk Speedway, the stakes are even higher with track officials offering the equally iconic ‘Open Wheeled Wednesday’ date alongside the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and additional purse funds to teams at $6,000-to-win, $650-to-start!
Coming back down from the successful trek to Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday, Raphael Lessard continues to lead the chase for the $20,000 Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour championship. The consistency of Gabe Brown, Jesse Switser and D.J. Shaw have kept them within eight points of each other in second thru fourth on the grid with Kaiden Fisher rebounding from a rough start to the year to hold fifth overall.
Kasey Beattie is among the top stars looking for redemption at the Concrete Palace tomorrow. Beattie solidified his Rookie of the Year run last June with a big first win on the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour. The St. Johnsbury, Vermont driver would love nothing more than to turn his year around and join the likes of Junior Hanley, Brian Hoar, Robin Wood and Wayne Helliewell, Jr. as a back-to-back Spring Green champion. Defending Haunted Hundred and fellow first-time ACT winner Erick Sands will also be one to watch tomorrow as his notebook proved superior last time the Tour visited the Action Track of the East!
With the Spring Green set as Round #2 in the Brookside Equipment Sales Triple Crown, Brandon Barker and the 0NH Sullivan Construction machine will be back in action, looking to bring the Brookside Triple Crown championship home to Epping, New Hampshire when all is said and done.
Alongside Lessard, Jonathan Bouvrette and Remi Perreault are among the expected Canadian entries looking to join Roger Laperle and Russ Urlin as a Canadian victor at the Bay State oval. Home turf defenders like Vinny Arrenegado Jr., Ryan Kuhn, Josh Hedges, Robert Pelland III and Ryan Flood are also among those looking to be the first Seekonk regular to win a Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour event at the Speedway.
The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour is back with the exciting Midweek Madness program at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts, including the 50th Spring Green 125 on Wednesday, June 25. The $6,000-to-win, $650-to-start showdown will celebrate the fiftieth running of one of the great cornerstones of the iconic Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour with a 6:30pm start time. If you can’t make it to the Bay State oval, you can catch all the action live on Racing America.
