Show Me the Money Series
Casey Roderick Reunites with Ronnie Sanders, Wins Show Me the Money Finale
Oct 18, 2026
Treyten Lapcevich led a JR Motorsports 1-2 finish in his first start with the team on Saturday at South Boston Speedway, while Mason Walters took the win and the championship for the zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model Series.
In the Late Model Stock 125-lap feature, Lapcevich won out over Caden Kvapil to claim the season finale. While Kvapil clinched the CARS Tour Late Model Stock championship following the series' penultimate race, he arrived at South Boston looking to cap off the year with a victory.
Instead, he battled throughout the race with Lapcevich, with the Canadian driver joining the team after parting ways with Chad Bryant Racing. Lapcevich claimed the lead for the final time on lap 97, winning by 3.7 seconds ahead of Kvapil.
"First off, I've just got to say thank you to everyone at JR Motorsports, Dale, Filter Time, for making this possible," said Lapcevich in victory lane. "All the guys worked so hard the last two days and gave me such a good piece. I just tried to save a little bit at the start there. I knew I was loose right away. I was able to have some right-rear [tire] there at the end and lean on it. Just an amazing car.
"It's pretty crazy. Never did I think I'd be in this position and have these people behind me. Just big thanks to Dale, everyone at JR Motorsports. I can't believe it, honestly."
Kvapil settled for second place on the evening. With the championship already wrapped up, he was able to focus on battling for the win in the season finale. While he came up short of that goal, he took pride in a 1-2 finish for the JR Motorsports team.
"After the competition caution, we just got really tight," Kvapil said. "I was holding them off for a while. I knew he was better, but I was doing all I could behind the wheel. Just got too tight in there, but I were to lose to anyone, I'm glad it was him. Obviously, in a JR Motorsports car, to go 1-2, that's really cool for us. Awesome year. Won the championship a week ago, but we still came here to win the race."
Connor Hall rounded out the podium, followed by Conner Jones and Kaden Honeycutt.
In the 100-lap Pro Late Model feature, Mason Walters' timely hot streak to end the 2026 season placed him in victory lane with both a win and a championship.
In the series' last race, Walters led every lap to win at Newport Speedway. He backed that up with an equally dominant performance at South Boston, earning both the win and holding off all challengers in a hard-fought championship fight.
Piloting the No. 6 for Setzer Racing and Development entry, Walters again qualified on the pole and led every lap for the victory.
"These Setzer guys just made it super easy on me," said Walters. "They bring really fast cars to the track every weekend. I think it showed the past two weeks, just led 200 laps out of 200 laps, qualifying on the poles. All thanks to these Setzer guys, they work their butts off in the shop. I'm just super grateful to just drive this car."
"I don't even know what to say. This is my first year going in the CARS Tour. I didn't think I'd be here right now, to be honest. I thought one win was plenty for me. To do this is just incredible. I'm just speechless right now."
Kaden Honeycutt finished second, followed by Brody Monahan, Treyten Lapcevich and T.J. DeCaire.
