Kevin Harvick Joining Night of Champions Blizzard Series Field at Five Flags

Kevin Harvick is entering Five Flags Speedway's Busch Light Night of Champions on Saturday night, adding to the star power of an already-exciting event.

With William Sawalich forced to withdraw from the Deep South Cranes Blizzard Series event due to a scheduling conflict, Harvick will take his place in the field. With the entry, Harvick joins his son Keelan on the grid for Saturday's Blizzard Series field.

Keelan Harvick, last year's Allen Turner Snowflake 125 winner, will be making his first start in the Blizzard Series and Southern Super Series. Earlier this year, the 14-year-old driver earned his first ASA STARS National Tour victory at Owosso Speedway.

Kevin Harvick won 60 NASCAR Cup Series events in his career, including the 2007 Daytona 500. The 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion was named to the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2027. He has made two prior Southern Super Series starts, both at Five Flags Speedway. Last year, he took part in the Busch Light Night of Champions, finishing 12th in a race won by Dawson Sutton.

The Harvicks make up part of a 24-car field currently entered for the 100-lap Super Late Model race, co-sanctioned by the Blizzard Series and ASA Southern Super Series. The race marks the final stop on the Road to the Snowball Derby and will crown a Blizzard Series champion. Entering Saturday's race, defending Snowball Derby champion Stephen Nasse holds a 15-point lead in the Blizzard Series standings.

The field includes plenty of short-track stars, including Bubba Pollard, Casey Roderick and Matthew Craig.

The Blizzard Series race makes up just one part of Saturday's racing program. The Allen Turner Tuneup 100 will also crown an Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series champion, with Jake Finch leading the standings in that division. The Buggyworx Crown Stocks will battle for 25 laps as well, and a fireworks show awaits fans after the night of racing.
