Salem, IN (May 11, 2022) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will head to Birch Run Speedway this Saturday for the first of three events at the 4/10’s mile oval located just outside of Birch Run, Michigan. Saturday’s event will be the first event of the Triple Crown Series for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Birch Run Speedway in 2022. The second Triple Crown Series event will be on Saturday, July 2nd, the Triple Crown Series Championship event will take place on Saturday, September 10th. Saturday’s event was originally scheduled for April 30th but was postponed to this Saturday because of construction efforts throughout the pits and the racetrack that were delayed because of poor weather.

The Birch Run Speedway Triple Crown Series for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will have a special winner’s bonus program sponsored by VanDoorn Racing Development, if the winner of the first Triple Crown Series event elects on the second event to start tail on the field, and wins the 2nd event, that will pay a $7,000 bonus. If that winner then elects on the Triple Crown Series Championship event to start on the tail, if they win, they’ll win a $25,000 bonus. That’s an opportunity for $32,000 in bonus winnings for the winner of the Triple Crown Series!

There is more to the Triple Crown Series than just the winner’s bonus program, the top three overall finishers in the Triple Crown Series points will receive: Champion $2500, 2nd Place: $1250 3rd Place: $1000, at the Birch Run Speedway Champions Banquet in the Fall of 2022.

The series had its 2022 season opener at Salem Speedway on Sunday, April 24th as part of the Midwest 250, where Casey Roderick came away with the win with a late pass of Dakota Stroup. The series’ second event of the season was this past Saturday at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway where local driver Dylan Fetcho came away with the win.

Topping the list of entries for Saturday night's event is former Birch Run Speedway series event winner Dan Leeck. The Birch Run native, is a two-time series Champion, his first was in 2014, and picked up his second Championship in 2019. Leeck’s one win with the series came at Birch Run Speedway in 2015.

Other top entries for Saturday night’s event includes 2021 Redbud 400 winner Kyle Crump, who finished third at Birch Run last year, series 2021 Rookie of the Year Tanner Jack, 2022 rookie competitor Nick Egan, ARCA/CRA Super Series regulars Michael Simko and Albert Francis, second place finisher at Salem Dakota Stroup, former CRA Late Model Sportsman Champion Tony Brutti, two time CRA Late Model Sportsman event winner Brandon Varney and his brother Evan, Berlin Raceway top competitor Evan Shotko, 2020 CRA Junior Late Model Champion Katie Hettinger, 2019 CRA Junior Late Model Champion and 2020 series Rookie of the Year Chase Burda, Anthony Danta, Jimmy Tucker, Kevin Cremonesi, Ethan Stadniczuk and David Liaff, who is entered to make his series debut Saturday.

There will be an open practice time available for JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour teams on Friday, May 13th with the tracks race program. Pits open at 12noon with three open practice sessions for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, one from 2:30pm to 3pm, one from 4pm to 4:30pm and one from 6:30pm to 7:15pm.

On Saturday May 14th, pits will open at 12pm. JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour practice is set to begin at 2:30pm. Nova Motorsports qualifying for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will begin at 6:15pm. Racing action will begin at 7:30pm that will include the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour 100 lap feature plus several local divisions with features only.
