One of the hottest drivers in the Southeast will turn his attention to the World Crown 300 on October 25th at Cordele Motor Speedway. Colin Allman left Cordele in September after leading 30 laps and finishing second in the final race of the ASA Southern Super Series doubleheader weekend.
As the fall weather switches to cooler nights, the change of the Calendar to October lets us know that the World Crown is only a few days away.
“We are really excited for the World Crown 300,” said Allman. “Especially after the last race there, we qualified well, led some laps, and finished second”.
Allman kept his success going as he won the Frank Grill Memorial at South Alabama Speedway just a few weeks later. He set fast time and led the most laps in that event.
A year ago, Allman finished ninth in the 300-lap race as he looks to improve on that performance.
“I think we have a good package to start now on the Hoosier tires, but I like our chances to run well and compete with the deep field of cars we are going to have.”
The World Crown 300 weekend will take place on October 24th and October 25th at Cordele Motor Speedway (GA). The historic Super Late Model race has been a staple in the state of Georgia since its inception in 1983.
Friday, October 24th, will feature practice for the Super Late Models and Pro Trucks. Saturday is race day with a final round of practice and qualifying for the World Crown 300.
The 300-lap race will pay $35,000 to the winner and even more to drivers who have participated in the track’s SuperFest events. A driver could walk away with a $46,500 payday.
