Richard Childress Racing announced Monday that the team has signed Carson Brown to its driver development program ahead of the 2026 season.
Brown earned the 2025 PepperJack Kennels Rookie of the Year award for the ASA STARS National Tour. The New London, North Carolina native won at Madison International Speedway for his first STARS victory in June.
He also made his debut in both ARCA Menards Series East and ARCA Menards Series West during the 2025 campaign. Brown finished sixth at Five Flags Speedway in March, driving for Hettinger Racing, and finished runner-up to Brent Crews at Phoenix Raceway in November for Pinnacle Racing Group.
The versatile Brown also claimed two Super Late Model victories during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway in February, as well as a win in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series at Virginia International Raceway in September.
In five TA2 starts, Brown earned three top-fives and four top-10s. He finished third at Watkins Glen International and fourth at Sonoma Raceway, a pair of American road courses that also appear on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule.
Brown finished second to Cole Butcher in the 2025 ASA STARS National Tour championship standings, with seven top-fives and nine top-10 finishes in 12 races. Brown finished second to Dawson Sutton in the prestigious All American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway to conclude the 2025 season.
Brown is also a former champion in the INEX Cook Out Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He claimed the series' Semi-Pro championship in 2022, with three wins that year.
During a busy 2025 season, Brown competed in Late Models on both pavement and dirt, including five top-10 finishes in 19 events during the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.
