Brett Robinson Earns First Nashville Fairgrounds Victory on Opening Night

Brett Robinson joined the prestigious list of winners at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway to open the facility's 122nd season of racing on Saturday night.

Robinson made the trip from Indiana to take part in the event, battling some of the best at the historic track. Corey Deuser, winner of last November's All American 100, led the first 34 laps before turning over the lead to former track champion Jackson Boone. Boone led until the 76th lap of the 122-lap special, when Robinson assumed the top spot.

Boone didn't go away without a fight, closing back to Robinson's bumper in the closing laps, but Robinson held on for his first career win at the Nashville Fairgrounds.

"That was a whole hell of a lot of fun," said Robinson. "I want to thank Jackson Boone for racing me clean. If I want to beat anybody, I'd want to beat him here, one of the very best. It's been a long time coming.

"I want to thank the good Lord. I want to thank my dad, he puts blood, sweat and tears in. If he wasn't here wrenching this car, I wouldn't be here."

Robinson also set fast time in qualifying on Saturday night at Nashville, edging out Boone by just 0.004 seconds with a time of 18.801 seconds. He started fourth after a redraw of the top eight qualifiers placed Boone on the pole position.

Other winners on the night at Nashville included Malachi Woods (Bandoleros Beginners), Lucas Harrison (Bandoleros), Brett Lee (Front Runners), Nick Woodall (Pro Legends), Kyle Fletcher (Masters Legends), Chase Cohron (Pure Stocks), Dylan Faulkner (Legends Semi-Pro), Case James (Legends Young Lions), and Michael Pannell (Limited Late Models).
