A tight championship battle continues on Saturday at Montgomery Motor Speedway, as the Fall Brawl 100 marks the fifth race of the Show Me the Money Series.

After four events, Jake Garcia leads the points standings in the Pro Late Model track championship, but he is just eight points ahead of Gio Ruggiero. Garcia added two points to that advantage in the series’ last event on August 6, taking his second win of the season while Ruggiero finished second.

Garcia now has eight Show Me the Money wins in his career, with three wins each in 2020 and 2021. However, he is still searching for his first Show Me the Money championship, after missing races in each of the past two seasons.

Meanwhile, Ruggiero is looking to add to what has already been an impressive rookie season in Pro Late Models. The Massachusetts driver scored a win during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway in February to start the year. He has since added a win with the CARS Pro Late Model Tour at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.

The Modifieds of Mayhem will also be in action on Saturday night at Montgomery Motor Speedway, as they will race for 50 laps. A field of nearly 20 cars have already entered for that event, including series points leader Jaxon Bishop and Augie Grill, who won the season opener at Montgomery.

Late Model Sportsmen will round out the racing card, competing for 35 laps to start the evening. The green flag will drop on racing at 7:00 p.m. CT.
