Alon Day Stops Meza Dominance in Its Tracks at Lime Rock Park

Dicks Sporting Goods and IMC backed drivers Jackson and Ethan Tovo continued their impressive development this past weekend at Lime Rock Park in the latest round of the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli with the potent Nitro Motorsports squad.
The brothers have steadily improved race-by-race throughout their 2026 campaign, and Lime Rock marked another major step forward with both drivers earning top-six finishes in the highly competitive TA2 field, under challenging conditions.
Qualifying saw Ethan secure eighth on the starting grid while Jackson lined up 13th for the race. Once the green flag dropped, both drivers charged forward through the field. Jackson delivered one of his strongest drives of the season, climbing eight positions to finish fifth. Ethan followed closely behind in sixth after another consistent and competitive run with both drivers garnering valuable points towards the end of the year championship chase.
The results marked another milestone weekend for the brothers as they continue gaining experience and momentum in Trans Am competition.
“That was definitely one of our best weekends so far,” explained Jackson. “The car felt really strong in the race, and we were able to make up a lot of positions in the rain. Every weekend we continue learning more and building confidence, so to come away with a top-five result feels really rewarding for the whole team.”
“We’ve been making steady progress all season,” added Ethan, “It was great to finally put together a really solid result at Lime Rock. The competition in TA2 is incredibly tough, so having both of us up near the front shows the progress Nitro Motorsports has made. We’re excited to keep building from here.”
With momentum continuing to build, the brothers head into the busy summer stretch focused on continuing their climb through the Trans Am ranks. The Tovo brothers will now shift gears back to Late Model competition this weekend at Hickory Motor Speedway on May 29-30 before heading to the historic SCCA June Sprints at Road America June 5-7.
