Several past and present CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series competitors will be competing at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park this weekend, taking part in Rounds 7 and 8 for the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup Series.
Several past and present CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series competitors will be competing at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park this weekend, taking part in Rounds 7 and 8 for the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup Series.
The Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup Series races at the Bowmanville, Ontario facility on Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12 as part of a weekend headlined by the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Helio Meza currently leads the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series championship standings, with five wins in seven races. He makes his return to MX-5 Cup Series competition this weekend, his first start with the series since competing full-time last year and finishing fifth in the championship standings.
Noah Harmon is third in the TA2 Driver's Championship, coming off back-to-back podium finishes at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Road America. He also won the season-opening Mazda MX-5 Cup event at Daytona International Speedway in January, and will be seeking another win this weekend in the Hendricks Motorsports No. 12.
Ethan Jacobs made his TA2 debut at Road America in June, starting sixth in the JDH Racing No. 91 Ford Mustang. He has two top-five finishes in the first six Mazda MX-5 Cup Series races this year, sitting fourth in the championship standings entering this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
A pair of past TA2 drivers are also on the grid this weekend in Ontario. Last year, Julian DaCosta reached the TA2 podium twice and finished fourth in the CUBE 3 TA2 Series race at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
Parker DeLong made six TA2 appearances from 2023 to 2024, and scored his first career Mazda MX-5 Cup victory last year at Road Atlanta. He has two top-five finishes in the first six races of the 2026 MX-5 Cup season, including a sixth-place result at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
