The Superstar Racing Experience has been announcing competitors for its 2022 season. SRX once again is lining up a star-studded roster of drivers for its six-race season, starting June 18 at Five Flags Speedway.

Chase Elliott has been announced as the latest entrant for the season finale at Sharon Speedway in July. He will compete against fellow NASCAR Cup Series competitor Ryan Blaney in that event.

Prior to the start of the North-South Super Late Model Challenge at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Cole Williams was announced as the winner of Nashville's fan vote to determine which of six Late Model drivers would represent the track when SRX comes to the Music City on July 9. Williams is a two-time champion in Nashville's Pro Late Model division, and won the PLM portion of the All American 400 weekend last year.

NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader, a test driver for the series last year. will compete at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 on July 16.

In April, Matt Hirschman secured his first-ever win at the Sizzler, as well as his spot in the SRX lineup when the series returns to Stafford on July 2.

Similar to the Spring Sizzler, Five Flags Speedway used an on-track event to determine who will represent the track when SRX comes to town. Bubba Pollard earned that distinction after tallying an average finish of 3.0 during the PepperJack Twin 100s at Five Flags Speedway to kick off the Blizzard Series season.

Another similarity between Five Flags and Stafford? Bill Elliott will compete at both of those tracks this year in SRX. While he is not competing full-time like in 2021, "Awesome Bill" hopes to pick up where he left off with a strong showing in the 2021 finale at Nashville.

During pre-race festivities at South Boston Speedway on April 2, it was announced that six-time track champion and two-time NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series National Champion Peyton Sellers will compete against the SRX superstars on June 25.

Father-and-son duo Dave and Ryan Blaney will both compete in the SRX season finale at Sharon Speedway. Dave Blaney is a co-owner of the Ohio venue, and won a World of Outlaws event there last year.

Plenty of the stars from last year's inaugural season are returning, including defending champion Tony Stewart. Others returning for the full 2022 SRX season include Slinger winner Marco Andretti, 2000 NASCAR Cup Series champion Bobby Labonte, two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip and 2003 CART champion Paul Tracy.

Greg Biffle competed part-time in SRX in 2021, and is stepping up to full-time involvement for the 2022 season. He will be joined by 2012 IndyCar Series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay and 2008 Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman as new full-time additions to the series.

There will be plenty of IndyCar representation in this year's SRX field. Along with Hunter-Reay and Tracy, there will be part-time campaigns by Helio Castroneves, Tony Kanaan and Josef Newgarden throughout the season. Kanaan will appear in all but one event, while Castroneves will make three starts and Newgarden will race in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

Ernie Francis, Jr., who is competing in Indy Lights during the 2022 season, will also return for a pair of SRX events after winning last year's race at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Part-time participants recently announced from the NASCAR world include 2003 Cup Series champion Matt Kenseth, as well as NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Hailie Deegan. Deegan ran three SRX events in 2021, with a best finish of second at Knoxville Raceway.

A staple of SRX's first season were the "Balboa" entries, piloted by local heroes against the SRX superstars. In the series' inaugural event, Doug Coby took the Balboa car to victory lane at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Below is a list of drivers currently scheduled to compete at each SRX event during the 2022 season.
