There’s a unique challenge for the Camping World SRX Series this weekend, as the series tackles Slinger Super Speedway in Wisconsin. Here are our rankings heading into the visit at the high-banked quarter-mile.

1) Tony Stewart

Stewart only mustered a seventh-place finish at Lucas Oil Raceway, but it’s hard to count out the series points leader with two wins to his credit. He currently leads Ernie Francis, Jr. by 30 markers in the season-long standings.

2) Luke Fenhaus

Much like when Doug Coby won in the “Balboa” car at Stafford Motor Speedway, Fenhaus looks primed to benefit from some home cooking. Fenhaus is coming off a major win in the Slinger Nationals on Tuesday, which gave him the “golden ticket” to take on the SRX superstars.

3) Ernie Francis, Jr.

Riding high after the win at Lucas Oil Raceway, “EFJ” is going to be a man to watch this Saturday as well. He’ll be looking for back-to-back wins and a chance to cut into the points chase heading into the finale at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

4) Greg Biffle

Saturday marks Biffle’s second start in the “Ringer” car, which has been piloted by Scott Speed and Scott Bloomquist since we saw Biffle at Stafford. Biffle scored a runner-up finish in that Stafford appearance, and will be looking to do one spot better at Slinger.

5) Bobby Labonte

Whether it’s been on the SMART Modified Tour, his JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Model appearance at Kil-Kare Raceway or the SRX, Labonte has been knocking on the door of a win throughout the 2021 season. He picked up another second-place finish last week at Lucas Oil Raceway.

6) Marco Andretti

It was a sluggish start to the season for Marco Andretti, finishing 10th at Stafford and seventh at Knoxville Raceway. However, he finished fourth at both Eldora Raceway and Lucas Oil, giving him momentum entering the final two rounds of the season.

7) Helio Castroneves

Castroneves missed out on the top-five for the first time in the Camping World SRX season last week at Lucas Oil after a scuffle with Scott Speed. Despite that, he still sits third in the series standings and will be looking for another strong run at Slinger.

8) Hailie Deegan

On one hand, Deegan should be quite accustomed to racing without much practice thanks to her ongoing rookie season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Still, only she and Fenhaus will be making their first SRX pavement starts on Saturday, and Fenhaus has the advantage of turning more laps at Slinger than the rest of the field combined.

9) Michael Waltrip

Waltrip is one of the few SRX full-timers who has raced at Slinger, taking part in the 1992 Slinger Nationals back when the championship was determined by a mini-series of races. He’ll hope to put that experience to good use on Saturday.

10) Paul Tracy

After his rough-and-tumble top-five at Eldora, Tracy finished eighth at Lucas Oil in the lime green No. 13. The finishes haven’t supported moving Tracy up the rankings, but perhaps the tight confines of Slinger will suit Tracy’s aggressive driving style.

11) Bill Elliott

For the first time all season, Bill Elliott completed every lap of the SRX race at Lucas Oil Raceway. However, he still came away with a 12th-place finish as Awesome Bill’s run of bad fortune continues. Hopefully the trip to Slinger can turn his luck around.

12) Willy T. Ribbs

Ribbs’ struggles continued at Lucas Oil, where he tallied finishes of 12th, 11th and 11th between the two heats and the 76-lap feature. An eighth-place finish at Stafford remains Ribbs’ best showing of the year.
