The BG Products Southern Sprint Car Shootout Series today announced their 2025 schedule. Keeping with a familiar theme, the series announced their 2025 season schedule earlier than most to give teams plenty of time to plan their 2025 season and secure possible sponsorship. The series is set to embark on its tenth season in 2025.
The schedule features 15 dates at Auburndale and Citrus County Speedways. Citrus County Speedway will host the series on 8 occasions while Auburndale is set to host the series on 7 occasions. All events will be 40-lap winged events in 2025 except for a couple special events.
The 10th anniversary season will kick off February 1, 2025, at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, Florida and conclude December 13, 2025, at the same venue.
The schedule includes a couple of crown jewel events. The 4th annual Sandi DeCaire Classic 41 returns to Citrus County Speedway on November 8. A multi-day co-sanctioned event with the Must See Sprint Series Presented by Perfit-Parts returns in 2025 and moves to Auburndale Speedway March 15, 2025. The initial co-sanction between the two series early this year proved popular and both series have made an agreement for the cooperation to continue in 2025.
Details and purse format for this special event will be announced shortly. It is expected to be an epic North / South Shootout event much like it was in the spring, bringing MSR’s national drivers to battle the sunshine state drivers for ultimate bragging rights.
2025 will mark the tenth anniversary of the BG Products Southern Sprint Car Shootout Series. In the eight seasons contested so far, John Inman is the only driver to have won the series championship more than once. The series has become one of the most competitive pavement sprint car series in the country. Other champions in series history include Dave Steele, Johnny Gilbertson, Troy DeCaire, Sport Allen, Davey Hamilton Jr., and Daniel Miller.
