London, Ontario-native Ryan Litt, the sole Canadian-born driver in the field for the Must See Sprint Car Series event at Kalamazoo Speedway on Friday, interestingly played spoiler on Friday, earning a dominant victory during the track’s Independence Day celebrations.

Behind the wheel of the No. 07 entry, Litt was the fastest qualifier for Friday's event in Kalamazoo, Michigan, but rolled off from the second position after the pre-race dice roll put Jason Blonde on the pole for the 40-lap feature.

Once the pomp and circumstance prior to the feature event finally faded away, and the extended pace laps (for an issue with Tom Geren) came to a close, the green flag dropped, and Litt shot out of a cannon.

With that being said, Litt wasn't uncontested at all... at least not for the opening 10 laps of the event, as Dorman Snyder used the outside lane to make a successful run at the lead.

It wouldn't end up lasting very long for the driver of the No. 99, who was only making his 17th start in a Must See Racing feature event. Litt returned to the lead at Lap 12, and the race was pretty much over from there.

As veteran drivers Jason Blonde and Jimmy McCune began surging into the top-three positions, and Snyder began to fade back -- eventually getting lapped -- Litt continued to get further and further out front.

By the time the checkered flag waved on the 40-lap feature race, Litt had extended his lead to nearly half a lap over his closest competitor, Jason Blonde.

"It was a really technical track, especially with the weather conditions today," Litt told Must See Racing post-race. "The cars were sliding all over the place. We had a pretty good car all day, qualified well, second in the heat. I knew it was going to be a tough start with Jason [Blonde] there, think I got him a little bit on the start, and clean air helps significantly."

"Yeah, pretty much a perfect day."

The biggest surprise for Litt, though, was the early-race challenge he got from Dorman Snyder, who at one point was even able to get the lead away from the No. 07.

"I honestly had no idea the top was going to be that fast, and he was pushing really, really hard, and it made me step up my game to catch up to him," Litt said of Snyder. "Hats off to them, they were flying all day, and like I said, I really had to step my game up to even get back up to them. He had the top working, and I had the bottom working, so it actually played in my favor."

It's the fourth victory in the Must See Racing Sprint Car Series for Ryan Litt, and his first at a racetrack that isn't Berlin Raceway -- where he's won three times in the past.

Jason Blonde, the polesitter for the feature, finished in the runner-up position with Jimmy McCune in third place -- and the final car on the lead lap. Joe Ligouri was fourth, and after an early surge, Dorman Snyder faded to fifth.

The Must See Sprint Car Series is set to return to action on Saturday, July 19 at Midvale Speedway in Midvale, Ohio. Coverage of the event will be live on Racing America.
