After winning a pair of races at Owosso Speedway last year, Aaron Willison earned his third career Must See Racing Sprint Series feature win on Wednesday night in the Bob Frey Classic at Sandusky Speedway.

Headlining the first night of racing at Sandusky ahead of Saturday's Hy-Miler Nationals, the Must See Racing Series went 30 laps around the Ohio facility. Willison led all 30 of those circuits, fending off a challenge on a late restart from Davey Hamilton, Jr. for the victory.

A late caution added some drama for Willison, but he successfully held off Hamliton, Jr. to secure his first win with the series in 2025.

"I wasn't too impressed to see that yellow," said Willison. "That kind of sucked. When they came over the Raceiver and told us it was gonna be a single-file restarts because we were inside of five to go, that was a huge relief. You don't want to have a guy like Davey beside you. Those guys have got their shit together.

"This is absolutely huge. It's been a little bit of an adjustment getting on top of the Hurricane chassis that Ken and Theresa Statham got, but they bring out absolutely beautiful equipment. Give me every tool under the sun I could possibly ask for, so big thanks to them."

Hamilton, Jr. settled for second place, sharing some frustration during the race before the caution with four laps to go.

"It is what it is," said Hamilton, Jr. "It's just part of racing, but I hated where I started and just got stuck there in dirty air. I just had a hard time getting around that 7 car. He had no speed, just made it tough for me.

"I knew when we got around him, we had a chance. My only chance at Aaron was a yellow coming out, and it came. We would have had a good race if it were like that from the start. It is what it is. Congrats to Ken Statham and the Statham family."

Jimmy McCune rounded out the podium, coming off a third-place finish at Owosso Speedway. However, he is hungry for stonger showings in his No. 88.

"I just run the wheels off of it," said McCune. "It was the same thing last year. We struggled, struggled, struggled. I finally got it to run, ran fourth. Same thing tonight, ran third. One of these days, we'll get this shit sorted out so it's right at the beginning of the night and we'll start in front of everybody.

Alby Ovitt finished fourth in his Must See debut, with Kevin Mingus rounding out the top five.

The Hy-Miler Week of Speed continues on Thursday with $1 admission for those in attendance. The ISMA/MSS Supermodifieds take center stage on Friday and Saturday with the Fast 40 on Friday ahead of Saturday's Hy-Miler Nationals.

The next stop for the Must See Racing Sprint Series is Berlin Raceway for the Engine Pro FAST CAR DASH II on August 9.
