JACKSONVILLE, NC – A New Year’s tradition will be born at Goodyear All American Speedway on Saturday with the inaugural running of the Hangover 150.
The Hangover 150 will be headlined by Super Truck racing. Two different drivers have captured Super Truck wins in the Goodyear All American Speedway era at the track – Jody Measamer and Adam Fulford. Fulford was the most recent winner back in September, collecting a bounty that had been placed on Measamer when he drove away from the field for the victory.
Additionally, Mini Stocks, Legends, Champ Karts, Bandoleros, Bombers and Powderpuffs will be in action. The Powderpuff race, which is strictly for the ladies, will be run in Bomber cars out of the track’s Bomber rulebook.
15 drivers have already entered to compete in the event, with more expected to enter throughout the week and on race day. Racers from across the Mid-Atlantic have shown interest in the Hangover 150 and in the four remaining Winter Heat Series races that come in the weeks following the New Year’s classic.
A historic winter heat wave is expected to drive temperatures close to 80 degrees on Saturday, providing both optimal race conditions and a pleasant fan experience.
The race day schedule will kick off with practice at 10am, qualifying for the Super Trucks at 1pm, and the green flag for feature racing at 2pm. The Bandoleros will run first for 15 laps, followed by the Mini Stocks for 25 laps, and then Champ Karts for 20 laps, Super Trucks for 35 laps, Bombers for 20 laps, Legends for 20 laps, and the Powderpuff exhibition for 15 laps.
Tickets are available at the gate on race day for $15 for adults, $12 for seniors/military/students (with ID), $5 for kids ages 6-12 while kids five (5) and under get in free. Trackside parking and VIP suites are also available. Grandstands will open at 12pm with racing starting at 2pm.
