Tyler Reddick snagged the Xfinity Fastest Lap during his late charge in the Grant Park 165 at Chicago, while Shane Van Gisbergen claimed the award on Saturday in the NASCAR Xfinity Series The Loop 110.

During Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series event, Reddick was the fastest driver in the closing laps of the race, hoping to chase down Van Gisbergen for the race win. However, a caution for an incident involving Cody Ware after the white flag had been displayed dashed Reddick's hopes of a last-ditch battle for the win.

Still, Reddick clocked a lap of 90.091 seconds on lap 71 of 75, earning the Xfinity Fastest Lap Award. It is Reddick's second Xfinity Fastest Lap of the season, as he also claimed the award at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Shane Van Gisbergen Completes Chicago Weekend Sweep; Earns Third Cup VictoryReddick is currently fifth in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, with five top-five finishes and seven top-10s. He is still searching for his first win of the 2025 season.

Van Gisbergen claimed the Xfinity Fastest Lap in Saturday's The Loop 110 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series. His lap of 90.477 seconds on lap 44 earned the Fastest Lap award for Saturday's race.

Van Gisbergen led 27 of the race's 50 laps en route to the victory, holding off Connor Zilisch on a late restart. His fast lap came just before the final caution involving Andre Castro to set up the late restart.

It is Van Gisbergen's first Xfinity Fastest Lap Award of 2025. Since he is not earning championship points in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, that did not earn a bonus point in the drivers' standings. He, of course, went on to win Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series event for his second victory of the season in that series.

Another road course event awaits both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series. Both series head to Sonoma Raceway in California as part of Toyota / Save Mart 350 weekend.
