While not part of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs field this year, Carson Hocevar has been among the front-runners each week of the postseason. That continued at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, as the Michigan native finished 11th and set the Xfinity Fastest Lap in the Mobil 1 301.

Hocevar earned the Xfinity Fastest Lap award with a time of 29.923 seconds on lap 237. He was the only driver to clock a lap under 30 seconds during the 301-lap NASCAR Cup Series event.

Since the start of the Playoffs, Hocevar has two top-10 finishes and nearly added a third with his 11th-place result at New Hampshire. Sunday's Xfinity Fastest Lap award was his second of the season, after winning the award at Texas Motor Speedway earlier in the year.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was also in action at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, with Corey Heim winning the Team EJP 175. Heim, fittingly, set the Xfinity Fastest Lap of the race on lap 11 in his No. 11 Safelite Toyota.

Heim's lap of 29.886 earned him his seventh Xfinity Fastest Lap award of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. No other drivers have more than two Xfinity Fastest Lap awards in the series.

New Hampshire was the cutoff race for the Round of 10 for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Heim leads the series standings heading into the start of the Round of 8, sitting 69 points above the cutline for the Championship 4. The Round of 8 begins on Friday, October 3 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL.

The NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series head to Kansas Speedway this weekend to continue their Playoffs. The NASCAR Xfinity Series races on Saturday, September 27 in the Kansas Lottery 300, while the NASCAR Cup Series takes the green flag on Sunday, September 28 in the Hollywood Casino 400 Presented by ESPN BET.
