NASCAR's top drivers battled for grandfather clocks and championship berths at Martinsville Speedway, which means three more drivers earned Xfinity Fastest Lap Awards during the weekend. William Byron, Justin Allgaier and Layne Riggs claimed the Xfinity Fastest Lap Awards at the 0.526-mile facility.
William Byron clocked the Xfinity Fastest Lap of the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway en route to his victory that sent him to the Championship 4. Byron's fastest lap came on lap 494 of the 500-lap race, with a time of 19.750 seconds.
It is the third time Byron has earned the Xfinity Fastest Lap award during the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. He previously won the award during the spring race at Darlington Raceway and at Michigan International Speedway.
With his win, Byron joins Chase Briscoe, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson in the group of four drivers competing next week for the NASCAR Cup Series championship.
Justin Allgaier claimed the Xfinity Fastest Lap during the IAA & Ritchie Bros. 250 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Allgaier logged a lap of 29.390 seconds on the eighth lap of the race.
Allgaier finished 26th in the race after qualifying fourth, winning the first stage, and leading 37 of the race's 253 laps. It is the sixth time Allgaier has won the Xfinity Fastest Lap honor during the 2025 season, just one fewer than Connor Zilisch.
Allgaier is part of the Championship 4 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series this weekend at Phoenix. Allgaier, Zilisch, Carson Kvapil and Jesse Love will battle for the title on Championship Weekend.
Layne Riggs earned the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series' Xfinity Fastest Lap Award during the Slim Jim 200 on Friday. Riggs started on the pole and led the first 27 laps of the event, setting the Xfinity Fastest Lap on the fifth circuit with a time of 20.002 seconds.
While Riggs finished third in Friday's race, he missed out on the Championship 4 on a tiebreaker to Kaden Honeycutt, who finished second. Honeycutt joins race winner Corey Heim, Ty Majeski and Tyler Ankrum in the title fight.
The NASCAR Championship Weekend takes place at Phoenix Raceway to determine all three titles. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship is on Friday, October 31, followed by the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship on November 1. The NASCAR Cup Series Championship concludes the season on Sunday, November 2.
