Valvoline is preparing to bring a brand-new look to the racetrack, with Thursday's official reveal of the paint schemes that Hendrick Motorsports drivers Kyle Larson and William Byron will display throughout 2024.
A global leader in vehicle care and supplier of premium branded lubricants and automotive services, Valvoline is taking a major step in a new direction when it comes to its NASCAR Cup Series designs for the upcoming season.
Kyle Larson, driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro, will carry the more traditional paint scheme of the two Valvoline-branded vehicles to be displayed in 2024, with a red, white, and dark blue color pallet.
The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion will have Valvoline's new, more modern-looking design on his Chevrolet Camaro in three NASCAR Cup Series events for the upcoming season.
Phoenix Raceway (March) will mark the on-track debut of the new design, which will then return for an additional two events at Sonoma Raceway (June) and the Chicago Street Race (July).
Larson, a 23-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series, has scored three victories with Valvoline as primary sponsor since joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2021, scoring wins at Nashville (2021), Bristol (2021), and Homestead (2022).
On the heels of a breakout season and his debut appearance in the 'Championship 4', William Byron will carry Valvoline branding in a pair of NASCAR Cup Series races at Nashville (June) and Charlotte's ROVAL (October).
The paint scheme, which differs vastly from that of his teammate Kyle Larson, features a gray base, with accents of red across the sides, while also incorporating both shades of blue in the Valvoline logo.
Last season, Byron carried the colors of Valvoline in three NASCAR Cup Series events, and had major success while doing so, winning events at Phoenix Raceway and Watkins Glen, in addition to a 13th-place run at the Chicago Street Course.
The company continues with its combined five races of primary sponsorship for Hendrick Motorsports after signing a partnership extension with the organization in June 2022, which will carry the brand through 2027.
