Sheldon Creed, who currently competes on a full-time basis in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, is set to make his debut at NASCAR's top-level later this season, joining forces with Live Fast Motorsports for the September 10 event at Kansas Speedway.

The 25-year-old driver will get behind the wheel of the organization's No. 78 Chevrolet Camaro, with sponsorship provided by Xfinity Series backer Whelen Engineering.

"I'm excited to race a cup race for the first time, as that's been the dream for a long time," said Creed. "Whelen is a great company and I'm appreciative for their support in allowing us to do this with Live Fast Motorsports. We hope to have a good day at Kansas Speedway come September."

A native of Alpine, California, Creed's route to the NASCAR Cup Series is an unconventional one, with his start coming in Stadium Super Trucks, before traveling through TransAm, ARCA, NASCAR Trucks, and then, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, where he resides full-time, right now.

Whelen Engineering, a global leader in the emergency warning industry, has been manufacturing in America since 1952, proudly marking the company's 70th anniversary in 2022.

As an industry leader, the company proudly supports American workers in the manufacturing of its products and stands behind quality American innovation and craftsmanship in every product it turns out.

"Whelen is proud to sponsor Sheldon Creed's first-ever race in the NASCAR Cup Series," said Peter Tiezzi, III, General Manager of Motorsports for Whelen Engineering. “The special 9/11 Never Forget graphic on the No. 78 car is a small way to show our support for first responders and remember the brave men and women who lost their lives on that day and in the years since.”

In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Creed has been close to breaking through for his first career victory, scoring six top-five and 20 top-10 results in 54 career starts.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champ joins a growing list of names on the driver roster for Live Fast Motorsports this season, which includes BJ McLeod, Josh Bilicki, and Anthony Alfredo.
