Ahead of this week's two-day test session at Phoenix Raceway, RFK Racing has unveiled the Fastenal-branded paint scheme that the No. 17 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, driven by Chris Buescher, will carry in several NASCAR Cup Series events throughout 2024.

Fastenal, which is set to begin its 14th season as a primary sponsor of RFK Racing, has had a significant presence with the organization for many seasons, including a 19-race program with the organization in 2023 between drivers Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher.

With the reveal of the No. 17 Fastenal Ford Mustang Dark Horse, RFK Racing becomes the first organization from the Ford Performance stable to unveil a paint scheme utilizing the new Mustang Dark Horse, which will debut in the NASCAR Cup Series in February's Busch Light Clash.

With a familiar but refreshed identity, the Ford Mustang Dark Horse heads to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024. The street model of the Dark Horse was unveiled in late 2022, marking the seventh generation of the Mustang nameplate. Now. the improved look features a sleek new nose on the front end, coupled with character lines that stretch from the fenders to the door.

“First off, we’re thankful to Fastenal’s continued years of dedication to our race team and our continued success,” said Buescher, who has four wins in the last two NASCAR Cup Series seasons. “Fans across the country have grown to recognize and appreciate the iconic Fastenal blue scheme, and we’re excited to roll out a new look on that car this week in Phoenix. 2024 is already off and running, and we can’t wait to officially hit the track next February.”

Buescher enters his ninth season as a full-time driver in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024, and comes off a breakout season in which the Prosper, Texas-native picked up three victories at Richmond, Michigan, and Daytona while advancing to the 'Round of 8'.

The two-day test session gets underway from Phoenix Raceway on Tuesday, with Buescher joining reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney as the two participated from Ford Performance. Tuesday will mark the on-track debut of the Mustang Dark Horse.
