Race Results: NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500 at Talladega

Chase Briscoe secured his spot in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 with an overtime win at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.

Briscoe moved to the lead on the final lap with a push from Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Ty Gibbs, crossing the line ahead of Todd Gilliland for his first superspeedway win. Briscoe joins South Point 400 winner Denny Hamlin in the Championship 4 entering the final race in the Round of 8 next Sunday at Martinsville Speedway.

Gibbs finished third, followed by Bubba Wallace and Cole Custer.

The YellaWood 500 boasted 77 lead changes among 27 different drivers. Both are high marks for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. The 27 different leaders marked the third-most unique leaders in a NASCAR Cup Series event in series history.

The Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway will determine the two drivers who will join Briscoe and Hamlin in the Championship 4. Coverage of the event on Sunday, October 26 will start at 2 p.m. ET on NBC, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
