Race Results: NASCAR Cup Series Enjoy Illinois 300 at WWT Raceway

Denny Hamlin's pursuit of his first NASCAR Cup Series championship will continue, as he won the Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway to punch his ticket into the Round of 12 of the Playoffs.

Hamlin stayed out under the final caution on lap 210 and passed Brad Keselowski on the lap 215 restart to score the victory ahead of his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Chase Briscoe.

Briscoe also won last week's Cook Out Southern 500, giving Joe Gibbs Racing back-to-back wins to start the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

Chase Elliott finished third, with Ryan Blaney fourth and Joey Logano fifth.

Hamlin led 75 of the race's 240 laps. Leading the final 25 laps, Hamlin surpassed Bubba Wallace for most laps led in the race, after Wallace led 73 of the first 154 laps.

The Round of 16 concludes on Saturday, September 13 with the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Coverage of the event will be on USA Network, the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
