Race Results: NASCAR Cup Series Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube

Denny Hamlin held off Chase Elliott for his 61st career NASCAR Cup Series victory, and his first of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Hamlin dominated the event in his No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, leading 134 of the race's 267 laps. The Virginia driver rebounded from a speeding penalty on pit road in the second stage and got back to the front of the field.

That was not the end of Hamlin's worries, however, as Elliott closed the gap in the closing laps. Elliott drew within a half-second of Hamlin, but ran out of laps and finished second.

Elliott's Hendrick Motorsports teammate, William Byron, finished third. The Joe Gibbs Racing duo of Christopher Bell and Ty Gibbs rounded out the top five.

The next stop for the NASCSAR Cup Series is Darlington Raceway on Sunday, March 22. The green flag waves on the Goodyear 400 at 3 p.m. ET, with coverage on FS1, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
