Points Report: NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500 at Talladega

Ryan Blaney locked himself into the Round of 8 after his win at Talladega, but the points are tight heading into the cut-off race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval.

Ryan Blaney joined William Byron as the only two drivers locked into the Round of 8 ahead of next Sunday's cutoff race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval.

Ross Chastain took the biggest hit in Sunday's race at Talladega, dropping four positions in the standings after an early-race crash put the No. 1 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet behind the wall and out of the event.

Brad Keselowski holds a two-point advantage over Tyler Reddick for the eighth and final transfer spot heading into next week's Roval race. Also on the outside looking in are Bubba Wallace, who is nine points behind, followed by Kyle Busch in 12th, 26 points out of eighth.

While Ryan Blaney locked the No. 12 Team Penske Ford into the Round of 8 in the owner championship battle, Chase Elliott had a strong day in the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, and has moved that car into fourth overall in the owner standings headed to next week's race at the Charlotte Roval.
