The Round of 16 is over with, and we're now onto the Round of 12 in the NASCAR Cup Series. Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Michael McDowell failed to advance from the Round of 16. There are now 12 drivers with their eyes on a NASCAR Cup Series title as the series heads to Texas Motor Speedway.

William Byron, and Martin Truex Jr. (36 Playoff Points apiece) head into the opening race of the Round of 12 tied for the top spot in the point standings, while Byron owns the tie-breaker.

Denny Hamlin, who won at Bristol, sits third, and he's followed by Kyle Larson and Chris Buescher inside the top-five of the championship standings.
