Kaulig Racing has added Kyle Larson to the impressive driver roster of its All-Star No. 10 NASCAR Xfinity Series entry, as Larson will pilot the Chevrolet Camaro at the Shriners Children 200 at Darlington Raceway in a couple of weeks.

The addition of Larson, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, was announced on Wednesday.

Larson joins a stout list of drivers that have piloted the No. 10 Kaulig Racing entry in 2023 which has included Kyle Busch, Austin Dillon, AJ Allmendinger, Justin Haley, and Derek Kraus.

Larson will carry the colors of HendrickCars.com, his full-time NASCAR Cup Series primary sponsor, for the event. The sponsor feels Larson and the No. 10 Kaulig ride could be a potent combination.

“Our NASCAR partnerships have played an important role in building HendrickCars.com into a national brand,” said Greg Gach, president of Charlotte-based Hendrick Automotive Group. “Kyle Larson is a champion and we are excited about seeing him partner with Kaulig Racing for the Xfinity Series race at Darlington. Along with Chevrolet, we think it’s a winning combination.”

In addition to his NASCAR Cup Series championship, and 21 victories in NASCAR's premier series, Larson also has 13 NASCAR Xfinity Series wins on his resume. And while he has never tasted victory at Darlington Raceway, Larson has been close in the past.

Last year, Larson was involved in a last-lap incident with Sheldon Creed while battling for the win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Darlington. The 30-year-old racer is determined to get the job done this time around.

“I’m looking forward to competing in the Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway in a few weeks with Kaulig Racing and HendrickCars.com. Darlington (Raceway) is a challenging track and definitely one on the top of my list that I’m eager to get a win at. The Kaulig Xfinity cars have been really fast this year too so I’m thankful for the opportunity to run double-duty and hopefully we’ll have a good shot at a win.”

It's no secret that Kaulig Racing likes to hunt trophies, as Team President Chris Rice and team owner Matt Kaulig have made that the catch phrase for the organization. Adding a NASCAR Cup Series champion, who was also recently named as one of the 75 Greatest Drivers in NASCAR history, to the stable certainly gives the team a chance to bring home some more hardware.

“Kyle (Larson) is really big for our sport right now and we’re excited for him to be a part of our program at Kaulig Racing,” says Chris Rice, President of Kaulig Racing. “Building our relationship with Hendrick Motorsports and having HendrickCars.com on board is amazing for us and fun for everyone involved. We’re looking forward to expanding our all-star driver lineup and having him in the car in Darlington.”

Tune into the NASCAR Xfinity Series Shriner Children 200 at Darlington Raceway on Saturday, May 13th. The race will be televised on FOX with coverage beginning at 12:30 PM ET. MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will provide the live radio broadcast of the event.
