May 23, 2025
Richard Childress Racing and Kyle Busch have signed a contract extension that keeps the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion with the team through the 2026 season.
“We’re proud to continue our relationship with Kyle Busch and remain focused on our shared goals of winning races and championships together,” said Richard Childress, Chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “Kyle is a tremendous racer and ambassador of the sport for our fans and partners. Everyone at RCR is committed to putting the pieces in place to enhance the competition side of our business.”
Busch's career spans more than 20 years, including Cup Series championships in 2015 and 2019 and 63 career Cup Series wins. Among his victories are the 2008 Southern 500, 2015 and 2016 Brickyard 400 and the 2018 Coca-Cola 600.
Since joining Richard Childress Racing ahead of the 2023 season, Busch has earned three Cup wins, 16 top-five finishes and 31 top-10 finishes.
Richard Childress Racing has grown into one of the most accomplished teams in NASCAR, with more than 200 victories and 16 championships.
“It’s an honor to race for Richard Childress, our partners, and team Chevy fans,” said Busch. “I feel like my family and I have found a home at RCR, and it means a lot that Richard continues to put his trust into me. My chapter at RCR is not yet complete, and I know we are building something special here. I remain focused on adding more wins and a championship to our collective resumes, and I want to thank Richard for the steps he is taking to help put all of the necessary pieces into place to give us a legitimate shot at a championship.”
Busch and Austin Dillon make up the two-car lineup for Richard Childress Racing in 2026, as they have done since Busch joined the team in 2023.
This weekend, Busch competes in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, looking for his second win in that crown jewel event. The Coca-Cola 600 begins at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 25 on Prime Video, the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Busch will also compete on Tuesday, May 27 at Oxford Plains Speedway in the inaugural Memorial Day Clash for Super Late Models. Fans can watch that race on RacingAmerica.TV. Click here to subscribe and watch Busch and Brenden Queen take on the best Late Model competitors of the Northeast.
