Hooters Unveils Newly-Designed Paint Scheme for Chase Elliott in 2024
Dec 15, 2023
The final primary paint scheme reveal of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season for Chase Elliott and the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports team is in the books. On Monday, the team revealed the UniFirst paint scheme, which Elliott will pilot in five races during the 2024 season.
The scheme is virtually the same as in previous seasons, but the primary sponsorship expands two races from three in 2023 to five in the upcoming season.
The primary sponsorship expansion was planned as it was part of a five-year contract extension that UniFirst and Hendrick Motorsports announced back in 2022.
Under the terms of the extension, UniFirst would serve as a three-race primary sponsor in 2022 and 2023 and would expand to a five-race primary sponsor each season from 2024 to 2028.
“We are thrilled about this upcoming season as it marks our expanded partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, Chase, and the entire No. 9 team,” said David Katz, UniFirst Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The No. 9 UniFirst Chevy looks great on the racetrack with its iconic green paint scheme that embodies our brand. We’re excited to offer fans more opportunities to see Chase deliver wins behind the wheel of this dynamic car.”
Heading into 2024, Elliott has carried the UniFirst colors in 10 career NASCAR Cup Series starts, and while he doesn't have a win, he has had some solid outings in the paint scheme.
“I’m excited to get back behind the wheel of the UniFirst Chevy next year and race for more wins,” said Elliott, who was recently honored as NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver for the sixth consecutive year. “It’s been great seeing the partnership with UniFirst continue to grow over time. We’ve had a lot of memorable moments together over the years and I’m looking forward to many more.”
In the fourth race of the 2020 season at Phoenix Raceway, Elliott started from the pole, led 93 laps, and finished seventh in his UniFirst debut event.
Elliott also scored a pair of fifth-place finishes with the UniFirst colors on his car at Phoenix Raceway and Kansas Speedway in 2021. Elliott also recorded an eighth-place finish at Daytona International Speedway in September of 2021 with the UniFirst machine.
This past season, Elliott recorded a seventh-place finish at Kansas Speedway carrying the paint scheme.
Elliott, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion, will look to score his first career victory in the UniFirst colors in 2024.
