In celebration of Goodyear's 125th anniversary, the tire-maker has officially unveiled a brand-new throwback tire design for this year's Throwback Weekend at Darlington Raceway in May.
The limited-edition sidewall design will be featured on 3,500 tires in the NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series events at Darlington Raceway on May 12 to 14, serving as a special tribute to the longevity of the relationship between NASCAR and Goodyear, the longest-tenured sponsor in the sport.
“It’s exciting to be a part of this special weekend and acknowledge the distinctive relationship that two storied organizations like NASCAR and Goodyear share,” said Stu Grant, general manager, Goodyear Global Race Tires. “The unique, first-of-its kind sidewall design is a fitting tribute to our remarkable history together and our shared passion for motorsports.”

The prizes will include a specially-designed tire from the winning team, VIP tickets to the race, a meet-and-greet with the NASCAR on FOX on-air talent, a behind-the-scenes tour of the NASCAR on FOX broadcast booth, and a ride in the Goodyear Blimp.

The NASCAR Cup Series event at Darlington Raceway, which will take place May 14th, will be titled the Goodyear 400, as it has for several seasons.
