The Formula 1 season returns to the United States for the second time this season, heading to Miami for the second annual race around Hard Rock Stadium.

Before heading to South Beach for the weekend, BWT Alpine F1 Team drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly made their way to Concord, North Carolina to get a taste of NASCAR thanks to RFK Racing's Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher. The two teams share a partner in Castrol, and the RFK drivers put their F1 counterparts through the ringer.

The pair first climbed behind the wheel of a Gen 7 NASCAR Cup Series car for a few laps around the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval.

Keselowski was clearly impressed with Gasly's efforts behind the wheel of the NASCAR Cup Series car.

It wouldn't be a gathering of racers if there was not some sort of competition aspect to the day, so Buescher climbed behind the wheel of a Ford GT to see if he could top the laps laid down by Ocon and Gasly in the Gen 7 car.

Fans will have to check out Castrol's social media channels to see who had the fastest lap of the day.

The group ventured across the street to Charlotte Motor Speedway's four-wide drag strip, the site of last weekend's NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. Before climbing behind the wheel of the Ford Mustangs and seeing which driver could go fastest in a straight line, Keselowski had to let Ocon and Gasly in on a bit of American culture - Talladega Nights.

The day was far from over for the F1 drivers, though, as they visited the RFK Racing shop and pit department for the final challenge of the day, a NASCAR pit stop. F1 stops are often under three seconds and the only real similarity between it and a NASCAR stop is the single lug on the wheels.

Perhaps the drivers should leave the pit stops to the RKF Racing crew.
