Christopher Bell's No. 20 Toyota Camry XSE will carry a special design on the streets of Chicago this weekend while he is "Racing for a Miracle" in the Grant Park 165.
The Joe Gibbs Racing entry is honoring the 19th year of Stanley Black & Decker supporting the Racing for a Miracle program alongside the Ace Hardware Foundation. The Racing for a Miracle program has donated more than $1.9M to Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals throughout the United States since 2006.
This year, CRAFTSMAN is donating $100,000 to the Ace Hardware Foundation for CMN Hospitals. For the NASCAR Cup Series visit to Chicago, the Racing for a Miracle scheme features artwork designed by 10 patients of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago.
"For nearly 20 years, we have seen firsthand the impact Racing for a Miracle, and our partnership with Ace Hardware Foundation and CMN Hospitals, has had for children and their families. We're always so inspired by their stories, and their strength and perseverance," said Tony Merritt, Vice President of Sponsorships for Stanley Black & Decker. "We're proud to be part of this legacy and happy to celebrate the incredible impact this program has made."
Bell has qualified fourth and seventh in the NASCAR Cup Series' first two visits to the Chicago Street Race, and he has led 51 laps between the two races. However, the finishing results have not reflected that pace and strength, with an 18th-place finish in 2023 and a 37th-place result after a late crash last year.
Bell is currently fifth in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings, with three wins to his credit this season.
The Grant Park 165 takes place on Sunday, July 6 at 2 p.m. ET. Coverage of the event is available on TNT, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
