A familiar partner -- Andy's Frozen Custard -- will be adding an extra scoop of support towards Richard Childress Racing and the driver of the team's No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro, Austin Dillon, in 2023.
The award-winning frozen custard and treat shop announced on Tuesday, that it will serve as a primary sponsor of Dillon in select races beginning with the March 19th event at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Andy's, which is set to open 28 new locations this year and has more than 100 in development, cites the company's growth in brand awareness related to its NASCAR sponsorships as the primary reasoning for the expanding role for the 2023 season.
“We have had a relationship with RCR, Austin Dillon and Anthony Alfredo that began several years ago. We are excited to have them back for the 2023 season while we create more opportunities for our fans to enjoy the NASCAR experience with their family, friends and favorite frozen treats,” said Andy Kuntz, CEO and owner of Andy’s Frozen Custard. “Our motorsports alliance has allowed us to reach more fans and it has been very productive for our brand and our stores. The NASCAR/Andy’s relationship has contributed to an increase in our national brand awareness and is also helping us grow almost as fast as the racecars we sponsor. We are on target to open nearly 28 new stores this year and have more than 100 in development.”
Additionally, Andy's will have a special menu item, which will be known as the Three-Crete, which will feature Dillon's favorite toppings. The treat, which will be available at all Andy's locations, will feature vanilla frozen custard, fresh banana, peanut butter, and cookie dough.
In addition to the primary sponsorship of Austin Dillon's NASCAR Cup Series entry, Andy's will also serve as a primary sponsor for Anthony Alfredo and the No. 78 BJ McLeod Motorsports team in two NASCAR Xfinity Series events in 2023.
Andy's will be plastered on the No. 78 car at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 27th and at Texas Motor Speedway on September 23rd.
Richard Childress Racing showcased the paint schemes for the No. 3 NASCAR Cup Series race car as well as the No. 78 NASCAR Xfinity Series car on Twitter.
As an added unique layer to the partnership, Andy's will host a traveling Show Car program for the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing team.
