AJ Allmendinger has been tapped to compete in select NASCAR Xfinity Series events this season, piloting the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing, the organization's multi-driver rotisserie entry.
Allmendinger, who is set to compete full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for the first time since 2019, will contest his first event in the series-tier series at Circuit of The Americas in March.
A native of Los Gatos, California, Allmendinger will run double-duty at the Austin, Texas road course, as he looks to win back-to-back Xfinity Series events at the track, while getting redemption for his near-miss in the NASCAR Cup Series last year.
The 41-year-old is the third driver to be named as part of the driver lineup for Kaulig Racing's No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro in 2023, alongside fellow NASCAR Cup Series drivers Justin Haley and Austin Dillon.
Haley is scheduled to pilot the entry in the season-opener at Daytona, and multiple others events in 2023. Dillon will drive the No. 10 in the second event of the season at Auto Club Speedway.
Throughout his NASCAR National Series career, Allmendinger has competed in 93 NASCAR Xfinity Series events, scoring a total of 15 victories - including 10 in the last two seasons. The Kaulig Racing driver's statline also includes 46 top-five and 63 top-10 finishes.
Additional details for Allmendinger's effort - including sponsorship and a race schedule - will be announced at a later date, as well as additional drivers of the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro.
