The Race of Champions Modified Series is gearing up for its return to New York’s North Country with the running of the “Rocket 76’er” at Evans Mills Raceway Park on Saturday, July 5, 2025. The event is presented by Bob Johnson Auto Group in Watertown and Pulaski and NAPA Auto Parts, and will feature a 76-lap feature paying $5,000 to win and $500 to start.
The Modified Series' second appearance at the modern 3/8-mile Evans Mills facility promises high-speed action and excitement for fans across the region. The “Rocket 76’er” has become a tradition at Evans Mills and is a marquee summer event on the Race of Champions calendar. With only one set of tires required, it’s a strategic and cost-conscious race for teams, adding another element of competition.
“We are looking forward to racing at Evans Mills,” said Race of Champions Modified Series competitor Austin Beers. “It will be our first visit to the track, and we’ve heard it’s a first-class facility. We always enjoy the challenge of new venues. It’s going to be an exciting night for Modified racing.”
In addition to the Race of Champions Modified Series, the evening’s program will also include Evans Mills Raceway Park’s weekly divisions, adding to a full night of motorsports entertainment.
