Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series

Matt Hirschman won the Race of Champions 150 for the 10th time in his career on Saturday, winning the 75th running of the event at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
Hirschman crossed the line two seconds ahead of Jon McKennedy, who won the New England Supermodified Series feature earlier Saturday. Patrick Emerling finished third, followed by Ron Silk and Jacob Christman.
During two-lap qualifying, Jon McKennedy set fast time for the Race of Champions Modifieds. The top six qualifiers are locked into the Race of Champions 150, with the rest of the field set by heat races.
Max Zachem and Andy Jankowiak won the two heat races, which will place them on the fourth row for the feature event.
The 75th running of the Race of Champions 150 is the first to take place at Thompson. The event is one of the longest-running in all of short track racing and American motorsports.
