The premier Modified racing series in the Deep South, the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour, is set to kick off its 2026 season in formidable fashion in the Sunshine State. New Smyrna Speedway, a historic Central Florida racing venue, is set to host the Modifieds of Mayhem for the ‘World Series 60’, the first event on the tour’s 2026 schedule.
The event will be part of the ever-famous World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing, one of the biggest American short track events of the year. The Modifieds of Mayhem will participate in the final night of the World Series, Saturday, February 14th. The 60-lap feature for the Modifieds will help close out what’s sure to be a thrilling week of short track action.
“New Smyrna Speedway is excited to have the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour here in 2026,” stated Rusty Marcus, General Manager of New Smyrna Speedway. “Even more exciting is the fact that this is their first tour race of the year. Combine that with the World Series of Asphalt, and you have a winning combination. We look forward to seeing both old and new fans this February.”
Series Director for the Modifieds of Mayhem, Stan Narrison, also looks forward to the season opener in Central Florida.
“We’re extremely excited to kick off 2026 at such a historic track like New Smyrna Speedway,” said Narrison. “For this tour to be involved in one of its biggest events, the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing, it’s huge.”
