What is the Memorial Day Clash 200?

The race is part of another addition for 2025, the Oxford Crown Jewel Triple Crown. Memorial Day Clash 200 Format

The Memorial Day Clash 200 features a unique format, particularly when compared to most PASS Super Late Model events.

The race is utilizing time trials to set the lineup for the main event. This is a departure from standard Oxford Plains Speedway and PASS Super Late Model events that exclusively use heat races for qualifying.

If there are more than 35 cars, time trials will only lock in the fastest 20 drivers. Those who qualify outside the top 20 will be divided into heat races to determine the remainder of the 35-car field.

There will be a competition yellow flag, offering teams the opportunity to change two tires during the 200-lap event. If a natural caution occurs between laps 100 and 125, that will serve as the competition caution. Otherwise, officials will display the yellow flag on lap 125.

Memorial Day Clash 200 Entry List

Kyle Busch headlines the event's entry list. Not only is he a NASCAR Cup Series star, but he also won the Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in 2011.

Brenden Queen, with two ARCA Menards Series victories to his credit in 2025, has not raced at Oxford Plains before, or in a Super Late Model. However, he is a former zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car champion, and many in his camp have compared Oxford to his home track of Langley Speedway.

The common link between the two drivers is their spotter, a Maine native who also enjoys racing when his professional schedule allows. Kneeland is also part of this year's Memorial Day Clash 200 field.

For any of those drivers to win, they'll have to beat a stout field of the Northeast's best Late Model combatants. Other former Oxford 250 winners on the entry list include Ben Rowe, Mike Rowe and Johnny Clark.

Mike Rowe won the season opener at Oxford Plains earlier this year, the 154th win of his illustrious career at the track where he's claimed seven championships.

Six-time PASS North champion D.J. Shaw, 2022 PASS North champion Ryan Kuhn and former PASS National champion Derek Griffith are also on the pre-entry list, as is Joey Doiron. Doiron won the Celebration of America 300 and the PASS 400 last year at Oxford Plains.
