(Nov. 1, 2022) R&S Race Cars announced today that Logan Clark will compete for R&S Race Cars in the No. 15 Toyota Camry throughout the 2023 racing season. The 18- year-old Mechanicsville, Va., native will participate in select CARS Tour events, as well as Late Model races at Dominion Raceway in Woodford, Va., and South Boston (Va.) Speedway. R&S Race Cars has recently hired Austin Thaxton to Crew Chief Logan Clark in 2023.

Clark began racing with R&S Race Cars this year in October at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, N.C., where he started seventh and earned a top-10 finish in his first start at the 3/8-mile oval while his R&S teammate, Kaden Honeycutt, took the checkered flag.

Clark’s young racing career began in the Bandolero Series at the age of 10. He won the INEX Virginia State Championship in 2018 & 2019, as well as the 2019 Southside Speedway championship in Chesterfield, Va., along with many wins along the way. He was fourth at the 2019 Bandolero Nationals at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway and in 2020, he captured two wins and finished second in the point standings in the Virginia Racer division at Dominion Raceway. Clark earned one win in his 2021 Late Model Stock Car rookie year.

“I’m very excited to join R&S for the remainder of this season and for 2023,” Clark said. “They have proven that they can provide their drivers with race winning cars every week. I’m focused on growing and learning as a driver and winning with R&S in 2023.”

“We originally met Logan and his family at the beginning of last year when they purchased a chassis from us,” said Marcus Richmond, co-owner of R&S Race Cars. “Logan has a ton of talent, but they weren’t getting the results they hoped for with their own team, so we started fielding his team earlier this month. In his first race he scored a top-10 finish, so I’m really optimistic to see what we can do together the rest of this season and next year.”

Clark will have sponsorship from W.G. Speeks, Rheem and Filtertime, with additional partners to be announced at a later date.
