Jake Sheridan Dominates Electric City 167 at Peterborough

Ty Majeski added to his remarkable legacy on Sunday, scoring his first career win in the Winchester 400 presented by Vore's Welding and Steel at Winchester Speedway.
Majeski dominated the 54th running of the historic event, leading 350 of the race's 400 laps. The Wisconsin driver is no stranger to winning on Late Model racing's biggest stages, with two Snowball Derby wins and five victories at both Oktoberfest and the Rattler 250 among his crowning achievements.
Now, he adds the famed Winchester Rifle trophy to that collection.
Majeski first attempted the Winchester 400 in 2023, partnering with Michael Hinde Racing for the race during his pursuit of the ASA STARS National Tour championship that year.
Majeski finished second to Butcher one year ago in the Winchester 400, and took it one spot better in 2025.
"This is one I've wanted for a while," said Majeski on the Track TV broadcast following the win. "Michael Hinde Racing gave me an opportunity to come here and run their car back in 2203 when we were battling for the ASA championship. It's been such a great partnership with them. They're a great family, a group of great people, and they have great race cars.
"Huge thank you to Cody and everybody at Hamke for preparing this race car, and Toby's here helping out my Midwest guys. Certainly a correlation of two great teams working together. We had a great weekend last weekend at Oktoberfest with Michael and myself. To come here and win the Winchester 400 is pretty cool. This is one of the crown jewels I've wanted, and I finally got it here today."
For Majeski, it also continues a dream-like run in recent years, highlighted by his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship in 2024 driving for ThorSport Racing. Majeski is part of the Round of 8 in this year's Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs, hoping to successfully retain that title.
"It's such a dream come true for me, driving fast race trucks and fast Super Late Models each weekend," said Majeski. "It's time to go defend our Truck championship.
"You always dream about it, right? It's hard to sink in as a reality. I went through low points in my career. There's numerous people that gave me a break at the right time when I needed it to keep my career afloat. To be standing here today with Michael Hinde Racing and in this race car. Going to the 88 truck next year with Menards on the side of it, I just have a lot to be blessed about. I have a beautiful family back at home that supports me. It can't get any better."
Dawson Sutton finished second in Sunday's race
"He was really good all day," said Sutton of Majeski. "Same with us. My team brought me a really good race car. You know, 400 laps is a lot, but I felt like we did everything we could, saving tires wise. Ty just did it a little bit better.
"I feel like if I did anything different, I would have done a little bit better job on that last restart there. We'll just move forward and hopefully come back here next year and get a rifle."
With a third-place finish, Butcher secured this year's Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour championship. He'll be able to go to the All American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in November focused on chasing the win in that event.
"We just needed a little bit of rotation. We were extremely tight off throttle. Congratulations to Majeski and the 26 car [of Sutton]. We were just either too tight or too loose.
"I guess we just locked up the ASA championship and the CRA [Super Series] championship, so we'll go for the Southern Super Series Championship next.
"I'm not sure if we got both [trophies] today or not. We'll probably get the other one in Nashville. I can't thank all of this Wilson crew enough for the incredible season. We've still got three big races left, so we'll just go trophy hunting."
Billy VanMeter crossed the line fourth, with 2019 Winchester 400 victory Stephen Nasse rounding out the top five.
The ASA STARS National Tour season concludes on November 9 with the All American 400 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
