Oregon, WI- The ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ASA Midwest Tour will contest a twelve-race schedule in 2023. The popular asphalt super late model series will visit four states beginning on April 23 with the ‘Miracle on the High Banks’ at Slinger Super Speedway and ending with their 200-lap Championship event on Sunday afternoon October 8 at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway during the 54th annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend.

Two ASA Midwest Tour events will be run in combination with the newly formed ASA STARS National Tour, the first being the $15,000 to win Joe Shear Classic at Madison International Speedway on Sunday afternoon May 7. The Midwest Tour will also be joined by the ASA STARS National Tour during the Gandrud Auto Group 250 at Wisconsin International Raceway on Tuesday night August 1, a race which will also pay $15,000 to the winner.

Traditional Holiday Weekend events include the Salute the Troops 100 at Jefferson Speedway on Memorial Day Weekend, the Father’s Day 100 at the Milwaukee Mile and the $15,555 to win Jim Sauter Classic at Dells Raceway Park over the Labor Day Weekend. July will feature two races with roots in the short track racing scene for over forty years, the Wayne Carter Classic at Grundy County Speedway and State Park Speedway’s Larry Detjens Memorial. Following the Tuesday night tradition at WIR, August will once again showcase the beauty of Iowa’s Hawkeye Downs before a return visit to Madison International Speedway for the Howie Lettow Classic. Following a five-year absence, the ‘Stars and Cars’ will return to Minnesota’s Elko Speedway for the Thunderstruck 93.

Track Enterprises, a Racing Promotions Company based in Illinois has been making news throughout the year by announcing the acquisition of the CRA sanctioning body in January and following that up with the purchase of the Midwest Tour in July. In October, Track Enterprise’s Bob Sargent announced a partnership with the Southern Super Series which set the table for the formation of the ASA STARS National Tour.
