Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour Powers Back for International Challenge at Montmagny
Jul 16, 2025
After becoming just the second driver in 15 years to win the PASS North and National championships in the same season, D.J. Shaw has started 2025 in the Bar Harbor Bank and Trust No. 60 looking like a contender once again.
DJ Shaw put together a sizzling first season of racing with his new sponsor, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, in 2024, with the veteran driver collecting three wins en route to capturing the overall crown on one racing circuit and claiming second on another.
And the ambitions are just as high for Shaw and Co. this year.
After becoming just the second driver in 15 years to win the Pro All Stars Series North and National championships in the same season — the seventh and eighth PASS titles of Shaw’s career — the New Hampshire native has started 2025 in the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust #60 looking like a contender once again. In his first 10 starts across the PASS and Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour, Shaw has already earned eight Top-10s.
Heading into the Father’s Day Special at Star Speedway, Shaw owned the top spot in the PASS North standings with 865 points ahead of Trevor Sanborn (850) and Brandon Varney (841). Standout performances for Shaw this season have included second place in the Icebreaker 75 at Thompson Speedway and second in the PASS 150 in May at Star Speedway.
Four races into the American-Canadian Tour slate, Shaw occupied fourth place in the standings with 391 points, trailing leader Raphael Lessard (425 points), Gabe Brown, and Jesse Switser. Shaw had his first win of the season in his sights on June 7 during the Kancamagus 150, which he led for nearly 100 laps, but faded to eighth after contact following a late restart.
It should come as little surprise that Shaw, one of the region’s premier drivers, can rely on of one of Northern New England’s leading community banks, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, whose support for racing also includes sponsoring the ACT’s 47th Fall Foliage 200 on Sept. 13 at White Mountain Motorsports Park.
“We couldn’t do it without them — they’re the best partners in the business,” Shaw said of his team sponsor. “Come up to White Mountain this fall for the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust 200 and support the cars.”
Founded more than 135 years ago, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust knows the value of teamwork and how a dedicated team working together can accomplish incredible things — on and off the track. And Shaw’s gratitude for his hard-working team and supporters align with how Bar Harbor Bank & Trust approaches its own team and the communities they serve.
