Tim Allensworth Beats the Heat for Firecracker Outlaw Late Model Win at Midvale

RACE REPLAY: IGT at Road America
Steve Needles' win in Saturday's Spirit of 76 at Berlin Raceway was his first with the Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Super Late Model Series since 2024, and tied him with Tyler Roahrig for most in series history.
In the last Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Super Late Model Series event, Tyler Roahrig surpassed Steve Needles as the winningest driver in the history of the tour. Needles wasted no time in tying the score back up, winning the Spirit of 76 at Berlin Raceway.
Needles recorded his eighth career Reveal the Hammer victory, and his first win with the series since May 18, 2024. He took the lead from Treyten Lapcevich on lap 54, but felt pressure in the closing laps while negotiating lapped traffic.
That battle came to an end Monte Tolan spun with two laps to go, setting up a green-white-checkered finish. While Lapcevich stumbled and fell to fourth on the restart, Needles kept his advantage over Roahrig and Adam Terry for the victory.
The 41-year-old Needles earned the $10,000 payday while driving the NO. 14 Todd Rosebrugh Trucking entry rather than his own race car. Between a two-year winless drought and the gratitude for finding a car to race in Saturday's race, Needles had plenty of reasons to savor this win.
"The older I get, the more they mean," said Needles. "You never know when your last one's gonna come. I'm just so thankful and so proud of my team, my family. My car owner, Todd Rosebrugh, for giving me a car to race when my own wasn't ready.
"Just so thankful for everything and thankful for all these fans that came out tonight to watch us and watch these fireworks, man. Every time we come to Berlin, man, you're the reason why. This is my favorite racetrack, so thank you guys for coming out here.
Zack Cook passed Phil Bozell for the lead on the opening lap, before turning over the top spot to Kyle Crump on lap 16. Crump led until Lapcevich passed him on lap 31, with Lapcevich stretching out an advantage until Needles chased him down.
Roahrig finished second, followed by Terry, Lapcevich and Mark Shook.
The next stop for the Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Late Models is New Paris Speedway for the 25th Summer Sizzler. That event is scheduled for Saturday, August 1.
