Star Power Headed to South Alabama for Rattler 250

The Southern Super Series season officially gets underway this weekend with one of the tour's marquee races, the Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway. There will be plenty of star power battling to meet the rattlesnake in victory lane on Sunday afternoon.

Any conversation about entries for the Rattler 250 must begin with the driver who has won the event more times than anyone else. Ty Majeski made history one year ago by becoming the first four-time winner of the race. He will look to make more history this weekend, attempting to become the first driver to win three consecutive Rattlers.

Of course, there will be plenty of competition trying to deny Majeski that honor. Southern Super Series champions Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse and Jake Garcia are among the entries confirmed, as well as 2021 Snowball Derby winner Chandler Smith.

Other Super Late Model standouts entered for the Rattler 250 include former Winchester 400 winner Carson Hocevar and two-time PASS National Champion Derek Griffith.

The Rattler started in 1974 and has been a South Alabama Speedway staple ever since. Since 2006, the weekend has also included the Grasshopper Pro Late Model Rattler 125.
